Who we are

We are a community of people who want to get to grips with what the Bible says about who Jesus is and what He means for our world today.

Good news
When he announced the birth of Jesus, the angel said, “I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people.” (Luke 2:10)

The birth of Jesus is not a fairy tale. It is news about something that happened on a real day in a real town in the Middle East, 2000 years ago. But unlike so much of the news on the television, it is “good news of great joy.”

Relevant news
Although rooted in historical events, the news about Jesus is relevant today because it is “for all people.” Whoever you are, whatever you have done, whatever has happened to you, Jesus is good news for you.

Open to all
We aim to explore the relevance of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus in a way that is accessible to all. Our hope is that anyone unfamiliar with the Christian faith will feel welcome in our meetings and feel free to add their voice to discussions by making comments and asking any question they like.  We are part of the Church of England, but welcome people from any denomination or background.

Here's a film that gives a feel for what makes us tick...
