Sunday Services

Every Sunday the whole Emmanuel church family, along with a good number of visitors,  gathers together at the Red Maids' school at 3.45 for 4.00pm.

We would love you to join us.  (Click here for directions.)

What happens in our meetings?
In style, we hope that our meetings are relaxed without sacrificing seriousness; contemporary yet resonating with the rich heritage of the past.

There are readings and prayers and we try to make sure that the songs we sing have tunes that are easy to pick up and words that clearly express the truth of God.

There is a talk that seeks to open up the relevance of a passage from the Bible. After the talk there is a brief chance to discuss issues raised and ask questions of the speaker. The meeting lasts until about 5:15pm.

Watch a short video that gives a flavour of our Sunday meetings.

Tea
We want to be able to enjoy time with one another, so everyone is invited to stay on for tea from about 5:15pm. Our aim is to ensure that the children go home well fed, but there is always something for the adults too.

Lord's Supper and Prayer Meeting
On the first Sunday of the month, after tea, we share the Lord's Supper together and then, instead of meeting in our usual small groups,  stay on for a time of prayer and praise.
